Crimea, zander - “☼☼☼ warm sea, clean air, beautiful nature - all this is about zander. how to get there, where to stay, where to go on excursions and what to bring from pike perch (a detailed review with prices and a bunch of photos) ☼☼☼”. When is the best time to go on vacation to Sudak
Sudak is a small resort town located on Black Sea coast in Crimea.
The city is located on the shores of the Sudak Bay of the same name, in the middle part of the southeastern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. The climate in Sudak is mild and arid, without sharp fluctuations in temperature and is close to the climate of the southern coast of Crimea. Precipitation in Sudak falls half as much as in, and there are more hours of sunshine per year. The holiday (bathing) season in Sudak is one of the longest in Crimea, on average it lasts from early June to mid-October, July-August are considered especially hot months, at which time the air temperature can reach + 38 ° C, and sea water in coastal waters warm up to +24 - +25 degrees.
Warm summer, accompanied by the sun, the sea suitable for swimming, picturesque mountain landscapes and a variety of relatively inexpensive housing, these are the main reasons that make the rest in Sudak so attractive for many tourists.
Beaches and sea in Sudak
The beach strip in Sudak is quite long. The beaches stretch along the Sudak Bay. The beaches, as well as the entrance to the sea, are gentle, on which there is coarse gray sand mixed with pebbles. But all these seemingly pluses did not make Sudak attractive for us.
In our opinion, the beaches in the city center are far from decent and comfortable, and for the money that you have to pay for a vacation, you can find much better and more developed places to stay.
Beaches in Sudak is a complex of beaches, consisting of small beaches separated by breakwaters.
Basically, all the beaches in Sudak are free, open during the day. However, beach equipment will have to be rented. The rental price depends on the particular beach. On average, the cost of renting a sun lounger is 100 rubles per hour, 250 rubles - 4 hours.
Also on the beaches there are changing cabins, designated smoking areas, medical and rescue posts. There are also beach activities, such as banana, tablet, catamaran rides, boat trips with swimming in the open sea, etc. are organized. Catamaran rental 600 rubles per hour.
From the beaches and the embankment, you can see the Fortress Hill, with the Sudak / Genoese fortress located on it. Genoese fortress in Sudak, one of the most ancient and preserved fortresses in the Crimea. You can go for a walk around the territory of the fortress, but we will talk about this below.
On one of the beaches, if you go to the fortress, the beach itself leaves much to be desired, on a banana boat you can go on an excursion to the Fortress Mountain and visit the fortress itself, as well as to the New World, where you will have the opportunity to swim in the cleanest secluded bay. At least the cleanest bay is promised by the organizers of this event, but what is actually there, we do not know. But judging by the frequency with which tourists from all over the area are taken to these bays, there is no smell of cleanliness and solitude there. The cost of a sea excursion is from 500 rubles per person.
Sea in Sudak
Since this is a bay, the sea in pike perch is mostly calm and warm, by June the water warms up to +19 - + 21 °.
Sudak Bay brings both its advantages, sea water warms up early and keeps heat for a long time, and some disadvantages. The downside is that since this is a bay, then the water in the sea will be a little dirtier than on open beaches. In pike perch, these are mostly some algae and small jellyfish, but they do not interfere, algae do not smell, and jellyfish are not always present and do not cause discomfort. What is more unpleasant is small household garbage left by numerous tourists, of whom there are quite a few in the high season in Sudak, and then all this garbage is washed up near the breakwaters. Of course, all this dirt is not much, but unpleasant, so for swimming in Sudak it is better to choose places in the middle of the beaches and away from the breakwaters.
Embankment, food and prices in Sudak
The promenade stretches along the central beaches. The embankment is quite wide, it is pleasant to walk along it. evening time.
Walking along the embankment, you will certainly see the Fortress Hill with the Genoese fortress. In Sudak, you can’t get away from her, her appearance will follow you everywhere you go. And we recommend everyone to visit this fortress, it's worth it. The fortress itself may not cause delight, but the diversity in the monotonous beach holiday will definitely bring, and the views from the viewing platforms the fortress, the city, the sea and the surroundings are quite picturesque.
On the waterfront there are small cafes, restaurants and canteens, as well as souvenir shops and some entertainment.
At the foot of the mountain, the market
Canteens, this is generally a separate issue in the Crimea, they are in all the resort towns of Crimea almost at every turn, there are always a lot of people in them, especially at lunchtime. The prices are reasonable, the food is average scall, but tourists prefer this particular type of food, cheap and fast. For example, a portion of Ukrainian borscht in a restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine in Sudak will cost from 200 rubles, and in a dining room from 60. They taste almost the same, only heartburn can torment from the table borscht, and the consequences of restaurant borscht are unlikely, in any case, you want to believe.
Since we are talking about food and prices, we will continue this topic. In general, food in the Crimea and in Sudak, including, tasteless. “Ah, oh and wow! As I ate "", you are unlikely to find this.
From street food, mainly chebureks, various pastries, pizza, pancakes with fillings, shawarma, hot dogs, etc.
Fish and seafood
From such a set, frog legs, shark, squid, shrimp, etc., you can choose whatever you want, and right here, for a fee, you can put all this on skewers and fry on the grill.
From sweets, cakes and pastries, churchkhela, Turkish delight and halva are common. Turkish delight is tastier than the one in bulk, and not in beautiful gift wrappings.
Also in Sudak you can find an abundance of cheeses, like the Adyghe ones.
The main square of the resort Sudak
There is a square near the embankment with a fountain, cafes, restaurants and some entertainment for children, such as car rental.
Another one of the many eateries
Shady Square
And a monument
Where to walk in Sudak - walking street: Cypress Alley
Cypress Alley is a walking street of Sudak, connecting the city center, Lenin Street and the embankment. The cypress alley was planted at the beginning of the last century. Souvenir shops are concentrated on the alley, from which they sell souvenirs and resort goods, as well as cafes and restaurants.
There is an amusement park, shops, mini markets and a small market where you can buy vegetables, fruits, berries and other goods.
Lenin Street and other streets of Sudak
One of the central streets of the city is Lenin Street. Pleasant green street for walks and life.
On the street hotels, banks, shops, souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants
On Lenin street, at the address: st. Lenina, 38 is a large supermarket chain of grocery stores "PUD" (former ATB). It is in this store that big choice products and goods at the lowest prices in Sudak.
Where Lenina Street intersects with Feodosiyskaya Street, there is a bus station (bus station), where buses from other cities of Crimea arrive.
From the bottom station of the bus station you can get to the Genoese fortress and the New World. The fare to the Genoese fortress costs 11-15 rubles.
Other streets in Sudak are less attractive
Attractions, entertainment and excursions in Sudak
There are practically no sights in the city of Sudak itself. The most famous is the Sudak/Genoese fortress of the 11th-14th centuries. From the city to the fortress can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or by bus. Walking is more interesting. Entrance to the fortress is paid, the price of an adult ticket is 150 rubles. Read more about the Genoese fortress in Sudak and see photos here.
You can also visit :
New World and the Golintsy trail. The Golitsyn trail is an ancient mountain trail carved on the slope of Koba-Kaya in 1912 for the arrival of Tsar Nicholas II on the orders of Prince Lev Sergeevich Golitsyn. Currently, there are daily tours of it;
Cape Alchak / reserved tract Alchak-Kaya with the grotto Aeolian Harp;
Wine-making enterprise SE "Sudak", producing fine wines. The wines are not tasty, the tour is not worth it (in our opinion, you may like it);
Bust twice Hero of Socialist Labor Knyazeva M.D.;
The monument "Hill of Glory", which is a mass grave of underground fighters, paratroopers and soldiers of the Great Patriotic War who died during the liberation of Sudak on April 14, 1944;
and just admire the resort architecture of the 19th century and natural landscapes.
In the vicinity of Sudak, you can go on any excursion and visit all the famous sights of Crimea. You can go to the sights, both on your own by buses, and with a tour, those are sold at every step. In our opinion, visiting sights on your own is more interesting and exciting than going on a guided tour. Plus, it's cheaper to do it yourself. Buses run frequently, this shouldn't be a problem.
From family and children's entertainment, Aquapark "Sudak", located at: st. Gagarin, 79. The water park is open to visitors in the summer.

It is soft, close to the Mediterranean, with the largest number sunny days among all the resort towns of the peninsula.
The shallow sea in the bay warms up quickly in spring and remains warm until mid-autumn, so the swimming season lasts from May to October, averaging 138 days (the longest in the Crimea). The sea in Sudak is not only warm, but also unusually clean.
The air temperature reaches +38 degrees in June-August, however, people do not feel much heat, as the always refreshing breeze maintains the tone. In addition, an amazing aroma hovering in the air, combining at one time or another recognizable smells of lavender, juniper, sage, almond, wormwood and rose, helps to cope with the heat.

Rested from 27.07 to 07.08.2016
The overall impression is very positive.
I don't understand why so few people go there.
Some general photos.
Grapes in the private sector.
Aquapark "Sudak", never went, I'm afraid of the slides.
The path along the mountain to the Genoese fortress from the side of the embankment.
View of the fort from this trail.
Attraction "Air bike", I was scared.
Every evening on the waterfront.
One minus - there are no beautiful sunsets, the sun sets behind the mountain.
Tickets to Crimea
I went to Sibmama in time at the end of May and found out about subsidized tickets. As a result, I managed to buy in S7, but only in one direction. There were no such tickets back on our dates. Total tickets + luggage + taxes / fees for 2 children and 2 adults = 93,000. Expensive, of course, but we decided to go. The flight went perfectly, everything was on time, without delays.
Transfer in Crimea
Ordered in MegaCrym. The cars were promised not older than 2008. As a result, the newest (only from the salon) Kia Rio 2016 arrived. We also drove back in a 2015 car. To be honest, I did not expect such "fresh" cars to be served. Maybe they have all the taxi drivers there in such cars they drive around the Crimea.
Delivered on time, friendly drivers. Delivered carefully and quickly. I advise everyone. I ordered through VKontakte, and everything was clear.
Price 1800 +1800 = 3600
Accommodation in Crimea
She was looking for housing on booking.com. I stopped at the "Rainbow Mini-Hotel", a Family Suite room with a balcony. Price for 11 nights 42120, NO food included.
I booked in June and paid in advance. I read in the chatterbox that they did not offer what they wanted, and I was a little afraid. But in the end everything is fine - our number was waiting for us!!!
If home cooking. Breakfasts for 100 rubles: pancakes, cheesecakes, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs - sometimes bought. Dinner I do not know - did not use. Dinner: plov, manti, khanuma and other oriental for 250 rubles, sometimes they also took a try.
Water hot, cold around the clock. The room is clean, tidy, new furniture. The photos are completely true.
Very quiet location. In the evening, it is bliss to sit on a trestle bed, drink local Home wine and enjoy the sunset.
It is located on Mount Fireynaya. Walk to the beach for 7-10 minutes. Only there from the mountain, and back up the mountain. The first days we got tired, but then we got used to it.
Here is a photo of our room: two-room, with a corridor and a bathroom.
View of the sea and the mountain, where the Genoese fortress (it is hard to see from the photo).
Such a trestle bed stood on the balcony at the end behind the refrigerator.
Meals on vacation
As I wrote above, we had breakfast in the room. They took pancakes and fried an omelette or scrambled eggs themselves. Sometimes they just made sandwiches.
We always dined in canteens on the shore. Canteens according to the type of our "Fork-Spoon". A lot of those.
Their prices are different. We stopped at the dining room "Dvorik" (seemingly so).
Lunch for four cost an average of 600-700 rubles.
We also ate in the room. We often bought grilled chicken = 350 rubles/kg.
Or they cooked something quick themselves: dumplings, fried potatoes, pasta with sausages.
Wine, champagne, beer
The first evening bought in a shop near the beach "Crimean Vine" white table = 250 rubles. At home they cooled it and drank it very well with pleasure at dinner together. I really liked it!
The next day we bought homemade draft wine. I must say right away that we bought only red house wines. Prices for it are from 250 to 450 rubles. per 1 liter. Depends on the place of sale. The most expensive - on Cypress Alley.
And we bought on the way to the beach from young man 250 rubles each Liked it a lot" Garnet bracelet"And" Isabella ". If someone goes, then try it. They bought 1 liter of wine every day and drank it in the evening.
Haven't tried the champagne. I didn't want to be in the heat. I brought with me 1 bottle of "Inkerman" semi-sweet = 440 rubles. Decided to give it a try over the weekend. To be honest, I didn't really like it. I'm glad I brought one bottle. I wanted more, but it is sooooo heavy. Champagne "New World" = 600 rubles.
About beer. I wanted to try the local. There, as it turned out, there is very little. We stopped at the light beer "Crimea" - 50 rubles. And they just went towards the "big" city and bought it at the Crimean Riviera supermarket - they also liked it, but they didn't sell it in our area of residence.
The beaches of Sudak
We went to the beach 2 times a day. In the morning from 8 to 12 and in the evening from 17 to 19.
Beach near the water park
It was the closest beach to us. We used to go here all the time. We walked downhill from Mount Fireynaya along Gagarin Street, past the Aqua Park, and immediately ran into the descent to the beach
Beach sand which made me very happy.
The sea is clean, warm, and most importantly, smooth depth - good for children who can not swim (although mine swim perfectly). But it's still good that a smooth entry. One day there were very small, 3-4 cm in diameter, jellyfish.
The first day we took sunbeds: 250 rubles / 4 hours or 100 rubles / 1 hour. Then we decided to just sit on the sand.
Bought: raspberries and blackberries 0.2 ml = 50 rubles. and boiled corn = 50 rubles.
Be sure (if you are here) to ride on a double banana to the Royal Beach of the New World = 500 rubles per person. It is great. Banana does not roll over, take children from 3 years old. The boys who take the banana tour are mega-positive people! Especially the one who rides with you on a banana - tells interesting things along the way, amuses, pours water, and all this is very noisy, fun, in general, super!!! At the same time, he shoots everyone on video, and then you can buy a disk with photos and videos = 1200 rubles.
Beach "Meganom"
You should definitely go here, at least once. Can't walk, it's far. Taxi from us cost 300 rubles. one way. We learned about him from the mistress of the house where we lived.
Then we passed when we went on an excursion. There are many slopes and, so to speak, "mini beaches" here. We were on two
Beach - large pebble mixed with sand, the water is colder than on the city beach, and the depth comes very quickly from the shore.
Sunbed 300 rubles/day or 70 rubles/hour. Slide for children in the sea = 100 rubles / 15 minutes.
First mini-beach:
Second mini-beach:
Tours
Excursion "Jeep to Cape Meganom"
The price is 1300 rubles, for children one ticket for two. Duration 3.5 hours.
Route: Meganom beach, cape with Meganom lighthouse (we climbed along the serpentine road to a great height to windmills, and then descended to the Lighthouse, and back the same way), Bugaz village with a beach and an unfinished ship. About the ship: one enthusiast is building it (I don’t know for what money), he lives here all the time, he came from Tomsk. Recreates the prototype of some famous ship. He said that in 2 or 3 years he would float. I would like to look at it. The Bugaz settlement itself is very small, but there are vacationers here. There is nothing to do here, except for the "sea". I would be terribly bored.
There are very few people on the beach and no infrastructure. The sea is very warm. I like it. Who wants only the sea and the beach - then you are here, there will be a very budget vacation at the sea !!
Safari Park "Taigan"
I liked Taigan and didn't like it at the same time. Together with the bus from Sudak and entrance tickets, 5,000 rubles came out. = 2 adults + 2 children. Separately, the entrance costs 900 adults and 450 children. Everything was fine. I admired how lions walk "underfoot". Very beautiful in the park, clean. It's nice to take a walk.
When we were on the bus, the guide “scared” us that if something suddenly fell down, then it would not be possible to get it, say goodbye forever. They said that lions live here, as in open nature, in prides.
And what was my surprise when I saw excursions to the lions. I wish I hadn't seen this. All the people at the top stood and waited for the feeding of the lions in one place. Animals gathered here, and you could see them as a group, and not individually.
And suddenly we see a small bus with the owner of the park at the wheel and a couple of girls who wanted to touch and take pictures with the lions. Hungry lions, take note!!! The lions are waiting for food, and here on you are people, and completely unfamiliar ones, calmly hugging them and taking pictures with them, like with cats. I felt deceived: how is it that they do with these poor lions that they don’t even look at people. Then they began to feed them - throwing meat from high aisles. And these girls and the owner of the park both walked between them and walk ((In general, this part of the park then completely upset me (((
I liked the rest of the park. Birds and some animals - bunnies, rabbits, wild boars - walk on lawns without cages. There is a place like our petting zoo - you can feed the animals. We really enjoyed feeding the pigs with carrots. Cages with animals in very strong thickets, not like we have in the zoo. It was very difficult to see animals and birds here. The giraffe is so cute, very friendly and fed well.
Sudak has a fairly developed infrastructure of places of temporary residence. By the number of mini-hotels and guest houses, it ranks first among all the resorts of the Crimean coast. So you will not have any problems with the choice of accommodation option. True, it should be borne in mind that not all hotels are located in close proximity to the beaches. There are three main lines of hotels that run along the coast and are in the greatest demand. But, besides them, you can find other offers, more remote, but also cheaper. In general, holidays in Sudak at prices for 2019, despite their high popularity, cannot be called quite expensive. Rather, it is the middle price segment. In remote areas, prices will be even lower, however, the service infrastructure is very different from traditional "hotel" areas.
How to get there
Sudak is located in the center of the southeastern coast of Crimea. It is equidistant from two major city ov-resorts - Alushta and Feodosia - to which about 45 km. The river of the same name flows through the city and flows into the Sudak Bay. The western side borders on Krepostnaya Gora, and the eastern side faces Cape Alchak. The northern side is bounded by the Crimean Ridge and is densely covered with oak and beech forests.
You can get to Sudak quite different ways, the most convenient of which are:
- take a train or fly by plane to Simferopol, and from there take a direct bus to Sudak. In terms of duration, the transfer takes about the same time as to Yalta;
- get to Feodosia by train, and then by bus and minibus to Sudak. This route is considered the shortest and most acceptable;
- take an intercity bus to Alushta, and from there move to Sudak.
general information
Sudak is a fairly large city in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which has the official status of a resort. A number of seaside villages belong to its municipality, of which Novyi Svet can be called the most famous. More than 15,000 people live permanently in the city. In addition to serving vacationers, Sudak has two more main specializations - winemaking and the production of rose oil. So, when you come to rest in Sudak, you will have the opportunity to try this unique product.
The origin of the name is not known for certain. The main version is a translation from the Scythian-Sarmatian, meaning "sacred", "immaculate", although there are other options.
The history of Sudak goes back to the 2nd century AD. It was founded by the Sughds - a nationality that was part of the Adyghe group. In the Middle Ages, Greeks and Italians began to settle in the city, contributing to the development of trade here. Sudak flourished in the 13th century, becoming one of the main transit points of the Great Silk Road. The city became part of the Russian Empire in 1783, and since then winemaking began to actively develop here, and even the first winemaking school in Russia appeared.
Things to do on vacation
On vacation in Sudak, you can not only enjoy quartz sandy beaches. Thanks to its rich history, the city has preserved many interesting architectural buildings from various periods. In addition, there is a rich natural landscape, and a paradise for lovers of fine wines. First of all, it is recommended to find time to visit:
- Genoese fortress of the 11th century. A fairly well-preserved architectural object of that period, which will tell a lot of interesting things about the "trading" life of the city in the Middle Ages;
- Cape Alchak. This is not just a cape, but an ancient coral reef, from where a great view of the bay and the Aeolian Harp opens - a rock in the sea with a large hole natural origin;
- the Sudak winery, which is part of the Massandra complex and produces a number of fine wines;
- water park Sudak - one of the most modern water attractions on the South Coast.
Beaches
The coastline along the central line of city blocks is quite strongly demarcated. Many beaches are departmental and closed. Many are paid access. As such, there is no municipal free beach. Rather, it is rather small (as, indeed, the rest) and absolutely not equipped. So, it is better to pay and use the services of one of the spa beaches. In the suburbs, as well as on Cape Alchak and further towards Feodosia, there are many excellent wild beaches. True, from city blocks to get there further.
We went to rest in Sudak with my husband in July. Euro-dollars bite, budget Egypt and Turkey are banned, and I really wanted to warm the bones and swim, so the choice fell on the Crimea.
Before that, we had already rested in Feodosia - it was normal, but it was boring. Yalta is a great option, but prices are the highest in Crimea. As a result, we settled on Sudak, besides, at work they gave a good ticket for professional merit)
=================================ROAD=============== =====================
There are four ways to get to Crimea:
- air flight to Simferopol (the cost of a flight from Moscow is approximately 5,000 rubles in June, 6,500 rubles in July, 3,500 rubles in August and 3,000 rubles in September - prices as of July 2016, the final price is also the higher, the fewer days before departure)
- a train with a transfer to the ferry "Kavkaz port - Kerch port" (fare in a reserved seat car - from 4400 rubles, in a compartment - from 7700 rubles)
- bus (the cost depends on the city of departure)
- Personal car.
Because We do not have a car, so we chose the option with by bus, I'll tell you more about it.
Fare one way from our city, including the ferry crossing, amounted to 2000 rub.
Very budget option, but may have its own characteristics:
In total, due to all these delays, the travel time both there and back was about 30 hours(usually 24 hours) is a lot. So, decide for yourself what is more important: cheapness or comfort.
==============================ACCOMMODATION================== ===============
At work, I was given a ticket for two to the TOK "Horizon" with a big discount. Without a discount, accommodation for one with three meals a day there costs about 30,000 rubles (the price is wildly overpriced), but it cost us three times cheaper.
The tourist and recreational (what a word) complex is a typical Soviet five-story building with its own, very green and picturesque territory.
Location Horizon is its main and bold plus! famous Genoese fortress located just a few hundred meters from the complex. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking: in front is the sea, on the right is the fortress and on the left is the embankment, which is illuminated by thousands of lights in the evening.
The room itself is made without frills, but everything you need is available: a new air conditioner, a mini-fridge and a TV (sometimes you can watch the news).
The territory has its own swimming pool, for those who are too lazy to go to the beach, the pool is small but always clean. Beach, by the way, at the Horizon own, therefore, it is clean and there are not very many vacationers, they let them in with passes. The walk to the beach takes 10 minutes.
On the way to the sea, we met such a "Mustang"
The ticket price included three meals a day. nutrition(buffet breakfast and dinner, lunch - complex), fed simply, but tasty. Also on the territory of the complex in the evening prepared a delicious shish kebab.
More detailed information on prices and photos of rooms can be found on the official website of TOK "Horizon".
As regards living in private hotels, then in Sudak you can find many good options for the price 1000-2000 rub. per day. I recommend taking a closer look at the Veranda guest house (it is on Booking), friends said that it has an excellent location and price per day less than 1000 rubles.
=================================CLIMATE================ ======================
If you want to relax in the Crimea, but are afraid that the sea will be cold or there will be prolonged rains, then you definitely need to visit Sudak. The fact is that its location of Sudak makes it the most attractive among the rest of the Crimean resorts in terms of climate. This is due to the fact that the Sudak valley is protected by mountains and is open only to the south.
Here are some encouraging facts from weather statistics:
- In Sudak, the smallest number of cloudy days a year among the Crimean resorts is 84 and the largest number of clear days is 91.
- There is little precipitation - an average of 318 mm per year (in Yalta - 635 mm).
- The swimming season in Sudak is the longest in Crimea
- The sea in the Sudak Bay warms up early and keeps warm for a long time. Cold currents are rare, and the average water temperature in June is +18.7 °С, July +22.7 °С, August +22.2 °С, September +20.2 °С, October +17.4 °С .
When we rested in Sudak, the rain overtook us only once (during a visit to the Genoese fortress), and then it was fine and ended in a couple of minutes.
All the time of our holiday in Sudak, the sea was warm. For comparison, when we rested in Feodosia, we overtook the period of cold currents. For five days the water was like in a font - 13 degrees! I had to go swimming in Azov.
So in Sudak you will need a panama hat more than an umbrella.
==============================ENTERTAINMENT=================== ================
Most of all I love Crimea for its unique nature, beautiful landscapes, luxurious palaces and a bunch of other attractions. There are many points on the Sudak embankment where you will be offered excursions for every taste. We purchased excursions from the Krym-Tour company in our sanatorium. It should be noted that after the annexation of the Crimea to Russia, prices there have increased significantly. Full-day excursions (Yalta and Bakhchisaray) cost us a pretty penny, but we got so many pleasant impressions that we never regretted the money spent.
We have chosen the following excursions:
- "Yalta-classic"(large cable car to Ai-Petri, Vorontsov Palace, Swallow's Nest, motor ship to Yalta, Yalta embankment, small cable car). Duration - 14 hours. The cost of the tour (adults/children) 1350/1100 rubles. Entrance fees (adults/children) 1150/675 rub.
- Bakhchisaray (Khan's Palace, Assumption Monastery, cave city Chufut-Kale). Duration - 12 hours. The cost of the tour (adults/children) 470/230 rubles.
- Lion Park "Taigan"(the only lion park in Europe + zoo). Duration - 5 hours. The cost of the tour (adults/children) 650/500 rubles. Entrance fees (adults/children) 900/450 rub.
On our own we also visited Genoese fortress(we had 10 minutes to walk to it) and New World(were taken by bus). The cost of an entrance ticket to the territory of the Genoese fortress: 150/75/0 rubles. (adults / schoolchildren, students / children under 7 years old). The entrance ticket to the Golitsin trail in the New World cost, in my opinion, 100 rubles.
A lot can be written about the excursions themselves, but I think photos will say much better than words.
Yalta classic
The tour begins with an overview of the Vorontsov Park and the Vorontsov Palace.
The Vorntsovsky Palace has two "faces". Its northern facade is made in a strict English style:
and the southern - in the eastern, neo-Mauritanian:
The views from the site at the southern front are simply fantastic! And is it really necessary to go somewhere far abroad for such beauty?
The next point of the program is the ascent to the Ai-Petri plateau on a large cable car
The most daring can go to the battlements on that suspension bridge over the abyss:
There are several cafes on the plateau where you can have a bite to eat, taste wine and taste delicious barbecue. There are also many tents where they sell all sorts of things, including such a rarity:
We go down by cars and go to the Swallow's Nest.
Here we walk, breathe the sea air, take photos and sail on the ship to the Yalta embankment.
We walk along the embankment and, after a little rest, we climb up to the bus along a small cable car in these "cabins-capsules":
Bakhchisaray
I want to note that for me the excursion to Chufut-Kale turned out to be the most difficult physically. The heat and the constant uphill climb were very exhausting. But the beauty that we saw there was worth the effort.
Ancient city Karaites:
Overflowing with impressions from Chufut-Kale, we set off for an overview of the Khan's Palace.
The Khan's Palace, or rather the palace complex, was built in the 16th century. On its territory, in addition to the palace itself, there are: a mosque, a harem, a Persian garden, a library, a khan's cemetery and other buildings.
The interior decoration conveys the life of the Crimean khans of that time.
Judging by the size of the preserved containers, the Crimean khans were very fond of wine.
Lion Park "Taigan"
The Taigan Lion Park is the largest nursery for lions and other animals in Europe. Located in Belogorsk. About 60 lions, 40 tigers and many other animals are kept on the territory of the reserve.
Chickens, peacocks and rabbits and wandering cats roam freely around the park
Feeding animals is absolutely not forbidden! (not counting predators, of course).
The kids love it and so do I.
The area of the park covers more than 30 hectares. The territory is very well-groomed, green, wherever you look: flower beds, alpine slides and sculptures depicting animals.
Adorable beggar pigs
The pride of Taigan is the lion safari park, its area occupies almost 20 hectares. Predators in it are not limited to cells and feel quite at ease.
Someone is sharpening their teeth:
and someone relaxes after dinner:
You can watch predators from above from safe metal bridges that permeate the safari area:
Genoese (Sudak) fortress
The Genoese fortress is a key attraction of the city of Sudak. There are different versions about the age of the fortress and its builders, but the main founders are the Genoese, who built the citadel in the XIV-XV centuries AD.
The fortress is located on the Fortress Hill, the height of which is about 150 m, so it can be seen from almost any part of the city. If you climb the towers, you can see wonderful views of the Sudak Bay from above.
New World
Novy Svet is a resort village 6 km from Sudak. You can get to it by car or by minibus from the bus station (they run every half an hour). The entrance to the hiking trail costs about 100 rubles. We started the review from the juniper grove, and then went down the Golitsyn trail. You can go the other way up if you enter from the side of the embankment. Entertainment in the city
"Mecca" of all vacationers in Sudak is Cypress alley- a long street dotted with cafes / restaurants, kiosks selling souvenirs and all sorts of things for tourists, points where you will braid your pigtails / make a tattoo / take a picture with a dog, etc. etc. In the evening, the alley is sooo crowded)) At the end, Cypress Alley leads directly to the embankment.
The alley also has market where they sell vegetables, fruits, all sorts of pickles and spices. Prices in this market are above average, we only bought sets of spices there. I recommend buying food at smaller markets (we took it at the market on Morskaya Street, it's next to the Horizont beach).
Not far from Cypress Alley is located amusement park. Basically, all attractions are for children, but there are also those that adults can ride, including extreme ones.
A great place for leisurely walks and contemplation of seascapes is, of course, embankment.
As for "eat"
Our ticket included three meals a day, but several times we went to dine at local cafes. In general, a tourist in Sudak will have no problems with food: both on the embankment and on Cypress Alley here and there there are budget cafes and canteens.
For example, on Cypress Alley there is a beautiful dining room in Arabic style (I don’t remember the name, but you will immediately recognize it by the mosaic and the fountain in the center), you can eat there for 300-400 rubles per person, including hot, main course, salad and a drink.
Very popular with locals and tourists Barbecue №1(exit to the embankment from Cypress Alley). The meat there is very tasty and reasonable prices, but the order will have to wait, because. There are always a lot of visitors there.
Very common cafes-teahouses in Persian style, where guests are seated on trestle beds at low tables. There you can order fragrant tea from local herbs, which is served free of charge with nuts and sweets:
My favorite brand is "The Kingdom of Aromas". It is inexpensive here and the products are fresh (the production is located in Simferopol, if I'm not mistaken). My must-haves for more than a year now: lavender water, gel for problem skin with aloe, natural cold drops and essential oils. The latter are very high quality, concentrated, with a sharp strong odor. Just by trying essential oil tea tree from Central Asia, I realized how cheap what is sold in our pharmacies (as if a drop of ether was added to sunflower oil).
2. Crimean herbal preparations, dried lavender flowers
3. Ceramic handicrafts. I collect plates and could not resist such a beauty (handmade, enamel painting on ceramics):
4. Products from the massif of a juniper (dishes, coasters under hot, figurines). Both beautiful and practical, and the aroma of juniper reminds of a vacation.
5. Sets of spices (there is a wide variety of them on the market)
Thank you for stopping by and mastering my opus!
Good luck!
