Dacha project 6x8: options. Construction of the foundation, buildings from foam blocks and timber
Currently, both the global and Russian construction market is saturated with a large assortment of building materials, these are:
- various bricks;
- decorative and natural stone;
- concrete;
- wooden profiles;
- blocks of different structure and even construction waste.
In principle, any of the above products is suitable for summer cottage construction, since, in fact, a country house is not much different from a residential building with permanent residence, just, in most cases, its dimensions are somewhat smaller. Below we will look at some projects, and also show you a thematic video in this article.
Projects
- Different projects of country houses 6 by 8 m can be adjusted to the needs of one person or a group of people, taking into account their needs and even the time (season) of residence. For example, if the room will be used all year round, then the project must provide for either stove heating, or it will be radiators or even a floor heating system, where a solid fuel, diesel or gas boiler will already be needed.
- A small square of the building (6 × 8m), as a rule, indicates that the site is also not very large, but there may be a need to increase the usable area of the house, which can be done at the expense of the attic, basement and even the second floor. To save free space on the site itself, on the basement floor, it is possible with utility rooms, and, if necessary, a boiler room can be equipped there.
Foundation
Whatever material the building itself is built from, it will be necessary to equip the foundation for it, which, most likely, will be tape, columnar or pile-screw. To choose one or another type of base, any instruction is not entirely appropriate, since everything here will depend on the soil and on your desire.
If a house of this size (6 × 8m) is built from timber or cellular concrete, then, of course, it will not turn out to be too massive, and if there is non-rocky soil on the site, then a tape with a depth of 50-60 cm is enough. It can also be used for stable soil when the column itself is immersed in the soil no more than 10-20 cm.
The situation will look completely different in areas with heaving soils or if there is a large slope there. Two options are most acceptable here - a recessed tape or screw piles, moreover, for a sharp slope, piles will be much more economical than tapes, because the price of the base is also of great importance.
Foam block
Note. A foam block is a material for construction, which is a type of cellular concrete.
Their cement-sand dough is made with the addition of a foaming agent and their molding.
Sometimes ash, slag or fiber is added as a filler.

If you decide to build a structure with your own hands, then, of course, it will be much easier for you to make it one-story - here it is easier to raise the walls and it is more convenient to mount the roof.
If the foundation is already ready, then it is imperative to lay a cut-off waterproofing on the grillage or tape, which will also affect the microclimate in the room - such a precaution will not allow soil moisture to get close to the walls, therefore, their thermal conductivity will decrease.
It should probably be recalled that before construction it is desirable to immediately decide on the heating system, since these communications will affect the walls, and possibly the floors. In addition, it must be taken into account that projects of country houses made of 6x8m foam blocks or with other sizes are not very convenient for radiators, since the block itself has a low density, and the place of fixation will have to be sealed with mortar or equipped with special brackets.
In this regard, it is much more practical to use a floor heating system or IPO (infrared film heating), moreover, such heating will turn out to be cheaper than radiators in terms of energy costs.
Note. Despite the fact that foam concrete (unlike aerated concrete) absorbs water very weakly, it is still recommended to use it only at normal air humidity - 55% -65%. But any rain will cause an increase in humidity, therefore, the wall will lose its heat-shielding properties. Therefore, decorative or even ordinary bricks are often used as cladding, as you can see in the photo above.

In fact, the projects of country houses made of 6x8m timber are not much different from block buildings, but there is one undoubted advantage here - wood creates a microclimate that has a beneficial effect on human health, besides, the thermal conductivity of timber, both solid and glued, is much lower than cellular concrete. Such buildings, in fact, do not need cladding, especially if the walls are made of glued material.

Finishing work inside a wooden building is carried out according to the project or the owner's wishes, and if you do not have concrete floors, then it is best to heat such houses with radiators or IPO. Of course, it is very convenient to use Buleryan furnaces for both block and wooden premises of this type - minimal costs with high heat output, but this is most effective for single-story structures.
Conclusion
You can carry out any project of a 6x8m country house on your own, if you have the desire and funds for that. At the same time, a typical floor plan can be viewed on our website or calculated independently, depending on the need.
